NEED A HAND?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A few helpful things to know about workshops, artwork and ordering from The Art H.O.O.D.
Do I need any art experience?
Not at all. The workshops are designed to feel relaxed and welcoming, whether you create regularly or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years. Hollie will demonstrate the process and offer guidance whenever you need it.
What is included in the workshop price?
All the art materials and equipment needed for your chosen workshop are included unless the workshop listing says otherwise. You’ll also take home whatever you create during the session.
What should I bring?
Usually, just yourself. Some materials can be messy, so please wear something comfortable that you won’t mind getting a little paint on. Any workshop-specific information will be included in your confirmation email.
Are workshops suitable for children and adults?
Different sessions are created for different age groups. Please check the individual workshop page for the recommended age and whether an accompanying adult is required.
Can I book more than one place?
Yes. Choose the number of places you need before adding the workshop to your basket. Availability is limited, so booking together is the best way to make sure everyone in your group has a place.
What happens if I can no longer attend?
Please contact Hollie as soon as possible. Cancellations and transfers are handled in line with the Workshop Booking Policy, which explains the notice periods and available options.
Do you offer private workshops?
Yes. Private creative sessions can be arranged for birthdays, hen parties, groups, schools and team events. Visit the Private Workshops page or get in touch to discuss your group and preferred activity.
How quickly will my order be dispatched?
In-stock physical orders are normally dispatched within 1–3 working days. If an artwork requires framing or additional preparation, its expected dispatch time will be shown on the product page.
Which delivery services do you use?
UK orders are sent using Royal Mail. Standard and next-working-day options may be available at checkout. Delivery estimates begin once the order has been dispatched.
How will original artwork be packaged?
Every piece is carefully wrapped and securely packaged to help protect it in transit. Larger or framed works may use additional protective packaging.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Please email hello@thearthood.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photographs of the packaging and damage. Hollie will review the issue and help put it right.
Can I return my order?
Return eligibility depends on the type of product purchased. Original, bespoke, commissioned and downloaded items may have different conditions, so please read the Returns & Refunds Policy before ordering.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
International delivery is not currently available through the standard checkout. If you are interested in a piece from outside the UK, please get in touch before ordering.
How does commissioning a painting work?
Begin by sending an enquiry with information about your space, preferred size and any colours or existing pieces you would like Hollie to consider. Hollie will then discuss the idea, price and expected timescale with you before work begins.
How long does a commission take?
Most commissions take approximately 4–8 weeks, although timing depends on the size, framing requirements and Hollie’s current schedule. Your expected completion date will be agreed before work begins.
Can I choose the exact design?
You can share preferences for size, colour and the feeling you want the artwork to bring to your space. Hollie’s work is created intuitively, so the final composition will retain her distinctive abstract style rather than copying an existing painting exactly.
Can commissioned artwork be returned?
Because commissioned pieces are created specifically for you, they cannot normally be returned for a change of mind. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged or is faulty.
How do digital prints work?
Digital prints are downloadable files rather than physical products. After checkout, you will receive access to the files so you can print them in the sizes and formats described on the product page.
Will anything be posted to me when I buy a digital print?
No. Digital-print purchases are supplied electronically, so no frame, paper print or other physical item will be posted.
Can I use a digital print commercially?
No. Digital prints are for personal use only and may not be resold, shared, redistributed or used commercially without written permission from The Art H.O.O.D.
